Watching Us

2018
8 minutes
Single channel video with audio

Driven to inward turmoil by the constant voyeurism of the viewer outside her apartment window, a woman struggles to hold onto her own identity while having sex with her lover. A deeply personal film, Watching Us explores the fear of being consumption as queer women, examining how the act of being watched changes those being examined. Constantly repeating a slow lateral dolly movement through the woman’s apartment, we see how being watched shapes our internal understandings of ourselves and our sexualities.
