Self published zine distributed amoungst the trees of the West End neighbhourhood of Vancouver, Canada
DIY zine (small-circulation self-published work) project about the street trees of the West End neighbourhood in Vancouver, Canada. The project explores housing affordability within the city through a creative approach to a neighbourhood walk.
Using the Situationist dérive method, I examine how the urban landscapes make me psychologically and physically feel, and urge my neighbours to re-connect with what little nature we have access to in this high-density community. Distributed on street trees within the community, readers are prompted to take their own walk while noticing how the landscape makes them feel, and write their own notes within the zine itself.
I encourage you to stumble upon a copy if you are in the West End neighbourhood as you will be able to find other folks walking notes. If this is not accessible to you however, you can find a PDF version of the zine here.
